Next week’s UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow is the first time all the cycling disciplines have been brought together in one place. That’s 13 different types of riding all searching for the next rainbow jersey winner in the same two-week stretch.
Outside of the riding, there will be a lot of people working across the event that need to get around Glasgow as quickly and easily as possible – not least people from the UCI itself. Madison and Sportline have come together to support the UCI staff that will be spending two weeks in Glasgow by providing of 30 Ridgeback Velocity bikes to help make life a little easier for staff trying to move around an already-busy city. After all, what better way to get around the Cycling World Champs than by bike?
On top of that, Madison will be sending 30 Lazer Tempo helmets and 30 Kryptonite locks to make sure that staff are safe and their bikes are secure.
Dominic Langan, CEO of Madison and Sportline, said ““We applaud the UCI staff for taking this initiative and we are delighted to support them with the necessary Ridgeback bikes, Lazer helmets and Kryptonite locks to make this happen. Hopefully this will help alleviate at least some of the traffic during this fantastic celebration of the world’s best cyclists, this year in Glasgow and other parts of Scotland.”
Ridgeback Bikes is one of the UK’s best-loved bike brands and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Find out more at www.ridgeback.co.uk
